Our hefeweizen is of the classic Bavarian variety. Made with 70% wheat, lightly hopped with German Hallertauer, it's refreshing and slightly dry with the beguiling banana and clove notes that give away the provenance of the true weizen yeast we use. This is a German-style wheat beer the way it should be--no lemon needed to make up for inadequacy.

This is Occidental's homage to the delicious ale of Cologne, Germany. Crisp and dry, it is clean and lager-like, with a pleasant, slightly spicy hop profile supplied by German Perle. Very "sessionable."

Our take on Dusseldorf's broad style features our most complex grain bill, which produces a malty, amber beer with a lot of flavor. Saphir hops give it a spicy, noble aroma and delicious hop profile. Definitely on the hoppy side for this style of beer.

The Munich classic, Occidental style. Malty and smooth, we produce our Dunkel with a clean-fermenting ale yeast, leaving a beer with a hint more flavor complexity than a Dunkel lager. Balanced with an assortment of noble hops, this is a beer equally at home with a hearty meal or as an after-work foamer.

Named one of the ten best beers in Oregon in 2011 by Willamette Week, Occidental Dunkelweizen is a darker cousin to our classic Bavarian-style Hefeweizen. It exhibits a deeper color and richer malt flavor than our Hefeweizen while sharing the same banana and clove flavors. Lightly hopped with imported Hallertauer.
